Nowadays，junk messages are increasing sharply in quantity．Many people are disturbed by their invasion，feeling annoyed yet helpless about uninvited useless advertisements or notices．

From my perspective，several factors contribute to the overflow of junk messages．Firstly，online identity theft is an approach frequently used to get personal information，including cell phone numbers．This hidden danger exposes more people to the harassment of junk messages．Secondly，fierce commercial competition propels people to advertise via text messages，which is a relatively low-cost method．Thirdly，the improvement of information technology adds to the convenience of sending huge quantities of text messages simultaneously，which indirectly leads to the growing number of junk messages．

Although the problem causes concern，some feasible ways may offer a solution．For cell phone users，they should be more conscious about identity thefts and provide their phone numbers only to reliable sources．For telecommunication companies，they may design effective softwares to fend off unfriendly messages．For the government officials，they can launch propaganda campaigns to advocate for a junk-message-free society．

Hopefully，with joint efforts，we can enjoy texting services without spam in the foreseeable future．
